Reaction In Action Episode 3: Black Panther Trailer

Super Comic Fun Time isn't over yet! I have a Black Panther movie trailer to react you on Reaction in Action Episode 3.

I guess my biggest reaction was confusion not being overly familiar with Black Panther. I know a bit of the lore. I know the Submariner practically destroyed Wakanda. But I have no idea what the story in this movie is going to be from watching the trailer. Like T'challa is the king now and is he fighting his brother? Why?

Looks cool I just don't get what the story is from the trailer. He's the Black Panther and he's fighting someone. Is he going to talk to the ghosts of the previous kings? Don't know.

Well, we have Thor: Ragnarok to get through first before they start giving trailers that tell the story, I guess.

Movie Tie-In #1: Thor and Beta Ray Bill

On the eve of the opening of Thor: Ragnarok we dive into Walt Simonson's Thor Omnibus and take a look at the first four stories which introduce us to Beta Ray Bill and the idea that anyone who is worthy can wield Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. From The Pile Episode 4: The Flash 42:"Night of the Mechanical Zombies"

Today I bring you The Flash #42 from 1990 by William Messner-Loebs, Greg La Rocque, and Jose Martin Jr. "Night of the Mechanical Zombies" starts off with a nice philosophical discussion comparing a computer's creation of cyber-space-time with a human being's creation of space-time. Unfortunately, I didn't know all the characters. I didn't read the Flash. Even now I have read very little Flash and am mostly familiar with the character through the 1990 and current TV show. That being said, I really enjoyed this story. It had so many cool elements to it, like the opening monolog I mentioned above and then we have a woman whose name I never learned, who is inhabited by the ghost of an ancient Irish Bard named Seamus. We get a brief glimpse of Wally West's then-girlfriend who is a supermodel who sells cat food named Connie. And then we have our heroine who's name is Tina, a former girlfriend of Wally West. Swamp Thing Bronze Age Omnibus due out 10/10/2017 Exactly one month after the death of Len Wein and 17 days before what would have been Bernie Wrightson's 69th birthday comes the first omnibus of their co-creation: Swamp Thing: The Bronze Age Omnibus Vol. 1 due out on Tuesday October 10. Swamp Thing original appeared in DC Comic's horror anthology The House Of Secrets #92 in July 1971 and going on to star in his own series, Swamp Thing, in 1972 with the first 10 issues being drawn by Wrightson.
